    Butt Augmentation

    Butt Augmentation
Buttock augmentation surgery, sometimes referred to as a Brazilian butt lift when fat transfer is involved, uses implants, fat grafting to increase the size of your buttocks and reshape them to match with the abdomen and thighs. This procedure can:

    • Increase fullness, roundness and projection of your buttock
    • Improve the balance of your figure
    • Enhance your self-image and self-confidence

When it comes to buttock augmentation, one of the essential things to get a good result is to determine prior to surgery what type of buttock shape you have. There are four different buttock shapes: A-shaped, V-shaped, square, and round. If you have V-shaped, square, or round buttocks, each will require different sets of surgical techniques to get a better outcome. Ultimately, the main goal is to recreate an overall hourglass shape or A-shaped buttocks.

    Candidates:
The following are some common reasons why you may want to consider buttock augmentation:

Your buttocks are too small for your body frame and you want a more balanced look.
Weight loss or the ageing process has left your buttocks loose, sagging, or flat.
Clothes or swimwear are baggy and do not fit properly on your figure.
The shape or size of your buttocks makes you feel self-conscious and you desire more curves.

    Procedure:
The two most popular methods for buttock augmentation are autologous fat transfer (using your own live natural fatty tissue), also called the Brazilian butt lift and buttock implant surgery with or without fat transfer for additional contouring.

    Autologous Fat Transfer
This procedure takes fat from one area (where it is not desired) of your body and uses it to enhance and reshape your buttocks.

Liposuction with suction tubes (cannulas) is used to remove fatty tissue from areas of your body with excess tissue, such as the abdomen, hips, back, or thighs.

The fat is then processed for fat transfer.

The fat is re-injected using syringes connected to cannulas.

The fat is grafted in layers at multiple levels, with the cannula moving back and forth to ensure that a smooth, linear deposit of viable fatty tissue is injected to reshape and augment the buttocks area.

The Butt Augmentation procedure using Implant:
The surgeon usually prefers regional sedation or general anaesthesia to ensure that the patient experiences no pain or discomfort during the surgical procedure.

The Buttock implant procedure begins with making incision’s between the buttock cheeks to hide the incision marks within the crease. The length of the incision and the scar is directly associated with the size of the implant.

The next step is the placement of the implant within the buttocks. The silicone implants used for butt augmentation are positioned above the gluteal muscle but under the muscle fascia (thin covering over the muscle) on each side. This process of positioning the silicone implants within the butts depends entirely on the type of implant used and the desired shape.

The last step is closing the incisions with multiple layers of sutures.

    Post Surgery
You will wear special compression garments to keep your buttock area compressed.

After buttock augmentation with implants, the patient is made to sleep on the stomach or either side for a couple of days and not take any weight on the buttocks.

After buttock augmentation using fat transfer, pressure on the area of the surgery is to be avoided for 2-3 weeks.
If you intend to achieve the best results then it is vital to follow the instructions of your surgeon.

Butt Augmentation with implants might include some complications associated with all other surgeries, especially like breast augmentation.

So it is crucial that you discuss all the procedure with your surgeon before undergoing a Butt Augmentation surgery to improve your figure!
